Rigorózní práce s názvem "Proměny religiozity v ještědských prózách Karoliny Světlé" se zabývá rozbory ještědských románů spisovatelky Karoliny Světlé. Prostřednictvím analýzy proměn náboženského vědomí postav a následné interpretace vystihuje charakteristiku podob lidové zbožnosti v prózách. V práci je konfrontován beletristický obraz jednotlivých forem religiozity s reálnými historickými skutečnostmi, kdy v rámci ještědských románů dochází k ověření nejpodstatnějších aspektů náboženských hledisek v "dlouhém" 19. století. Cílem práce je reflektovat vývojové proměny prozaických děl Karoliny Světlé a interpretovat je na pozadí námi stanovených problémových okruhů dobového pojetí zbožnosti a přístupů k samotné víře. The dissertation entitled "Changes of religiousness in the Ještěd Prose by Karolina Světlá" deals with an analysis of the Ještěd Novels by the author Karolina Světlá. It characterises the depiction of vernacular devoutness in the novels by means of an analysis of the changes in thecharacters' religious consciousness and their subsequent interpretation. The objective of the paper is to shed light on the progressive qualitative changes in Karolina Světlá's works of prose and interpret them against the backdrop of the defined problem area, which is the period concept of devoutness and attitudes to faith as such. The dissertation entitled "Religious Issues in Karolina Světlá's Ještěd Novels" deals with an analysis of the Ještěd Novels by the author Karolina Světlá. It characterises the depiction of vernacular devoutness in the novels by means of an analysis of the changes in the characters' religious consciousness and their subsequent interpretation. The paper confronts the fictional depiction of the various forms of religiousness with real historic facts; the most important factors of the religious positions of the "long" 19th century are verified on the scale of the Ještěd Novels. The subject of this thesis (Images of femininity and masculinity in Ještěd novels by Karolína Světlá) is a gender analysis of selected prose of Karolína Světlá, focused specifically on the works such as Vesnický román, Kříž u potoka, Frantina, Kantůrčice and Nemodlenec. The theoretical part presents basic principles, approaches and methods of the feminist literary theory including concepts focused on analyses of power and domination out of which I mostly use the work by Pierre Bourdieu. The theoretical part also contains positioning the writer's work within the literary-historical context and introducing source texts. The core of the thesis is a gender analysis based on my interpretation of texts and the method of resistant reading that concentrates on specific gender aspects in the entire series of works - the subject of my interest is creating masculinity and femininity (including gender attributes and roles or myths and archetypes), narration of the story from a gender perspective, forms of motherhood and fatherhood, topics of power, violence and sexuality. Attention is also paid to the motives of a victim or romantic love.
